Tom Bedell's journey with guitars began in his teens with an import business before he returned to his passion after retiring from the fishing industry. In 2010, after purchasing Breedlove Guitars and focusing on sustainable wood sourcing, Bedell relaunched Bedell Guitars as a stateside boutique, hand-made brand inspired by his early folk music experiences in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Driven by a deep belief in the connection between nature, music, and sustainably sourced woods, Bedell established a custom shop in Bend, Oregon, emphasizing high-quality, responsibly harvested materials. This commitment to craftsmanship and ethical sourcing defines the Bedell Guitars brand.
