Furch Guitars

Furch Guitars

Furch Guitars, established in 1981 by František Furch in Czechoslovakia, began as a response to the scarcity of quality instruments under the communist regime. Initially crafting banjos and roundback guitars from unconventional materials, Furch's commitment to innovation and quality quickly garnered attention. Following the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the company expanded, moving to a 16th-century mill in Velké Němčice and introducing all-solid-wood guitars with diverse body shapes. Today, under the leadership of František's son, Petr, Furch Guitars employs over 70 skilled craftsmen, producing approximately 9,000 instruments annually, renowned for their blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.
