Free Online Guitar Tuner (No Download)

Quick & Easy Tuning via Microphone

Welcome to The Acoustic Shoppe’s Free Online Tuner! Whether you’re a beginner picking up your first guitar or a pro who just needs a quick pitch check, our browser-based tuner is here to help. This tool uses your device's microphone to detect your pitch in real-time—no downloads or apps required.

While an online tuner is a great "emergency" tool for convenience, remember that for the highest precision and performance in noisy environments, nothing beats a dedicated hardware tuner.

How to Use This Tuner

  1. Grant Access: Click the "Start" or "Allow" button when your browser asks for microphone permission.

  2. Find Quiet: For the most accurate reading, try to minimize background noise.

  3. Pluck a String: Play a single string (like your Low E) and let it ring. Hold your guitar’s soundhole near your phone or computer mic.

  4. Tune Up: * If the needle is to the left (Flat), tighten the tuning peg.

    • If the needle is to the right (Sharp), loosen it and then tune back up to the note.

    • When the display turns Green, you’re in tune!

  5. Repeat: Go through all six strings (E-A-D-G-B-e) and double-check the first one when you’re finished.
