Santa Cruz 1976 Series

Pre-order available

The 1976 Series is Santa Cruz's newest line, a D, an OM and an H13 that share a German spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides and a clear Vintage Satin finish on the body and neck, so the wood shows with a low sheen instead of a gloss. We're taking deposits now, ahead of release.

All three 1976 Series models are braced with Sitka spruce and have a mahogany neck, a 25.375 inch scale, an ebony fingerboard with 2mm ivoroid dots, an ebony bridge, black binding, a purfle combo rosette, a tortoise pickguard and Gotoh SXB510V nickel tuners. Where they differ is the neck and the strings. The 1976 Series D has a round neck, a 1-11/16 inch nut and mid-tension strings, built for flatpicking and strumming. The 1976 Series OM has a V-shaped neck with a volute, a 1-3/4 inch nut and low-tension strings. The 1976 Series H13 has a round neck with the same 1-3/4 inch nut and low-tension strings, scalloped and tapered bracing, and its own H13-shaped pickguard.

Compared with the Founder Collection, the 1976 Series swaps the Sitka spruce top for German spruce, the buffed finish for Vintage Satin, ivoroid binding for black, and Waverly tuners for Gotoh.

A deposit here goes toward a 1976 Series guitar of the model you pick, not a specific instrument, and the photos are of the model, not the exact guitar you will get. Every one we deliver gets our 23-Point Professional Inspection first. See the rest of our Santa Cruz guitars.
