*TAS Exclusive* Atkin Custom White Rice Special Baked Adirondack/Madagascar Rosewood Heavy Aged Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar #4498

The Atkin White Rice Special is built for players chasing that classic British take on an old American workhorse. The baked Adirondack spruce top brings a powerful, dry, played in response with plenty of headroom right out of the case, while the Madagascar rosewood back and sides add depth, shimmer, and a wide dynamic range. It has a big, confident voice that feels just as comfortable driving bluegrass rhythms as it does supporting singer songwriter work.

The 25.4 inch scale gives this guitar a strong, solid feel under the hands, and the 45mm (1 3/4") nut leaves extra room for clean fingerstyle work and open chord voicings. The mahogany neck is carved to a PreWar neck shape that fills the hand the way old dreadnoughts do, and the ebony fingerboard and bridge with a cut through saddle keep the attack direct and clear. Scalloped X bracing lets the top move freely so notes bloom easily and stay balanced across the strings.

This special run wears Atkin's heavy aged nitro finish, with checking and wear that make it look and feel like a guitar that has already seen decades of honest playing. Ivoroid binding keeps the look timeless rather than overdone. This is a dreadnought for players who want deep vintage character, modern reliability, and tone that only gets better the more you play it, and it ships in a quality hardshell case.
