Description
The Touchstone Country Boy is a dreadnought built to be an all-business player's guitar. Pairing a hand-selected Alaskan Sitka Spruce top with genuine mahogany back and sides gives it a dry, woody, immediate thump that cuts through any mix, with the characteristic Bourgeois balance keeping the low end tight and the highs clear.
A 25 1/2" scale length and Honduran mahogany neck give it a stable, resonant feel, and the 1 23/32" bone nut hits a comfortable width for both fingerstyle and bluegrass runs. The ebony fingerboard and bridge add snap to the attack, and Schaller Grand Tune tuners keep it locked in through heavy flatpicking. Visually, it keeps things classy with a sunburst high-gloss finish, black/maple purfling, and a Ziricote headstock veneer with a Mother of Pearl logo.
This guitar is a Dread-Not Certified Used trade-in. Inspection noted: a ding on the front (top), right side near the binding, with heavy player wear underneath it; light finish scratches on the front, left side near the upper shoulder and near the lower bout; and two light scratches on the back near the lower bout, one on each side. All wear is cosmetic — playability and sound are unaffected.
