The Guild D-20 revives one of Guild's classic all-mahogany dreadnoughts, built with a solid African mahogany top, back, and sides rather than the more common spruce-top approach. That all-mahogany construction leans the voice toward a darker, drier, more midrange-focused tone than a spruce-top dreadnought, with a quick, percussive attack that a lot of players associate with vintage all-mahogany flat-tops.

Forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing under that mahogany top helps it stay lively and responsive rather than dark and muted, pulling out punchy mids and crisp highs alongside the expected mahogany warmth. It responds well to flatpicking and strumming alike, and holds up in a mix without needing a spruce top's extra sparkle.

A mahogany neck with a comfortable C shape, Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and Guild's deluxe vintage open-gear tuners round out the build, finished in a satin nitro that gives it a worn-in look from day one. Each one ships with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity in a Guild deluxe humidified hardshell case.
