Description
This Custom Shop OOO/OM pairs a spruce top with figured cocobolo back and sides, and the cocobolo is what gives it a bolder voice than you would expect from a guitar this size, with shimmer in the highs, a tight low end and real richness through the middle. The Aging Toner top and Style 28 rosette keep it in classic Martin territory, and antique white binding, a gloss body and a satin neck keep it understated.
The 24.9 inch scale is shorter than most Martins, which adds a bit of warmth and ease under the fingers, and the GE Modified Low Oval neck with the High Performance Taper feels smooth and familiar. It has 14 frets clear of the body, and a Venetian cutaway opens up the upper frets for players who work high on the neck. Grover StaTite tuners, a GE Modern Belly bridge and diamonds and squares inlays on the ebony fingerboard complete it, and it ships in a hardshell case. We would suggest it for fingerstyle players and flatpickers who want cocobolo's character in a comfortable auditorium body with cutaway access.
