With a spruce top finished in satin and aging toner, paired with satin East Indian rosewood back and sides, this version of the D-28 keeps the tone and heritage intact while offering a more relaxed aesthetic. Style 28 multi-stripe purfling, antique white binding, and a faux tortoise pickguard keep it rooted in tradition without unnecessary flash.

This is the sound players expect when they think of a rosewood dreadnought. The forward-shifted, GE-scalloped X-bracing allows the top to move freely, delivering strong low-end depth, clear mids, and ringing trebles. Chords feel wide and authoritative, and single-note lines carry with clarity and sustain. The satin finish helps the guitar feel open and responsive, giving it a slightly more immediate, woody character compared to full gloss counterparts.
