Description
Martin Authentic Acoustic SP strings are 80/20 bronze with a tin-plated core wire on all six strings. Martin says that construction gives the set higher tensile strength and steadier tuning. This is the Bluegrass set, .012 to .056, at 179.8 total tension.
The E, B and G strings match the Light set (MA140). The D, A and low E strings are heavier (.035, .045 and .056 against .032, .042 and .054), which puts the tension about 12 points above Light. We stock it for flat-pickers who want more weight in the bass strings.
