Description
Martin Retro strings use Monel wrap wire, a nickel-copper alloy that Martin says resists corrosion naturally. Martin also says the alloy softens pick attack so the guitar's own tonewoods come through, and that the strings last longer and work well plugged in.
This is the Medium gauge, .013 to .056, at 190.9 total tension. It is the heaviest of the three 6-string Retro sets we carry, so it asks more of the fretting hand than the Medium-Light or Bluegrass sets.
