Description
This is a deposit toward the next Eastman MD315L we receive, not a specific in-stock instrument. The photos show an MD315L we sold earlier, so they represent the model rather than the exact mandolin you'll receive.
The Eastman MD315L is the left-handed version of the MD315, and it's built left-handed at the factory rather than converted from a right-handed mandolin. It features a hand-carved solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides in a traditional F-style body, the same spruce-and-maple pairing bluegrass players have relied on for decades for a mandolin that cuts through a jam.
The neck has a 12" radius ebony fingerboard, and an adjustable ebony bridge and cast aluminum tailpiece anchor the strings. Ivoroid binding, pearl dot inlays and Proline tuners finish it off, and it ships with D'Addario XT phosphor bronze strings and a padded gig bag.
Left-handed MD315s don't come in often, which is why we take deposits on the next one. Like every instrument we ship, it goes through our 23-Point Professional Inspection before it leaves the shop.
