Built with a torrefied AAAA Adirondack red spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this OM hybrid delivers the open, seasoned character of a well-played instrument with the refinement of modern boutique craftsmanship. Maple binding, herringbone purfling, and classic Boucher detailing give it a timeless look, while the signed interior label confirms its place among the most thoughtfully built instruments in the Bluegrass Goose lineup.

What sets this BG-51-G apart is how quickly and clearly it responds. Forward-shifted, hand-scalloped X-bracing carved from Adirondack spruce allows the top to move freely, producing a fast attack, strong fundamentals, and impressive headroom in a more compact OM-style body. The rosewood back and sides add depth, sustain, and harmonic complexity, while the torrefied top provides warmth and openness from the first note. A newly squared traditional belly-style bridge paired with an extended bone saddle improves string-to-top energy transfer, resulting in greater clarity, articulation, and a more immediate, expressive voice that excels in both flatpicking and refined fingerstyle.
