Description
This is a deposit toward a Recording King 00070H 000 12-Fret, not a specific in-stock instrument. Photos are for reference only and represent the model, not the exact unit you will receive.
The Recording King 00070H is a Standard Series 000 with a 12-fret neck join, a thermo-cured solid AA North American Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, finished in a natural low gloss. Thermo-curing is a heat treatment applied to the wood, and the low gloss finish gives it a satin sheen instead of a polished one. The H in the model name stands for the herringbone trim.
It has a 25.4 inch scale, a 1 3/4 inch bone nut and a bone saddle, a rosewood fingerboard with squares-and-diamonds inlays, and an RK belly bridge in rosewood with ebony pins. Satin nickel open-gear tuners sit on a headstock with the RK-1 abalone logo over a rosewood veneer, and a premium tortoiseshell pickguard protects the top. It ships with a brown gig bag.
We would point it at a player who wants a 000 with a 12-fret join, a thermo-cured Sitka top and a rosewood back, and who is fine with a gig bag in place of a hardshell case. It is acoustic only, so anyone who needs a pickup should look at a different model.
