Description
This is a deposit toward a Santa Cruz 1976 Series D, not a specific in-stock instrument. Photos are for reference only and represent the model, not the exact unit you will receive.
The Santa Cruz 1976 Series D is a dreadnought with a German spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, voiced with scalloped Sitka spruce bracing. The body and neck carry a clear Vintage Satin finish, so the wood shows with a low sheen instead of a gloss.
The neck is mahogany with a round profile, a 1-11/16 inch nut and a 25.375 inch scale, and the ebony fingerboard has 2mm ivoroid dots and black binding. An ebony bridge with ivoroid-dotted pins, a tortoise pickguard, black body binding, a purfle combo rosette and Gotoh SXB510V nickel tuners complete it, and it comes strung with Santa Cruz mid-tension strings.
We are taking deposits on the 1976 Series ahead of its release. It is for the flatpicker or strummer who wants a rosewood dreadnought with a narrower nut.
