Description
This Santa Cruz OM is a custom-order orchestra model with Macassar ebony back and sides and a redwood top. The top is braced with Adirondack spruce in an advanced X pattern under hot hide glue and voiced with scalloping, and the body is finished clear in a buff finish with a matte neck.
The mahogany neck has a V profile with a volute, a 1-3/4 inch nut and a 25.375 inch scale. The ebony fingerboard has 42-style abalone inlays with the logo at the 12th fret, and walnut binding runs on the fingerboard and the peghead.
Abalone on the rosette and top border, walnut body binding and backstrip, an ebony bridge with abalone-dotted pins, an OMPW tortoise pickguard and Waverly nickel tuners with nickel oval knobs complete it. It comes strung with Santa Cruz low-tension strings in a Santa Cruz case.
