Tonally, the pairing of a solid Cedar top with solid Sapele back and sides gives this OM an exceptionally warm, responsive, and mature voice. Unlike the stiff response of a fresh spruce top, cedar reacts instantly to a light touch, delivering a rich, complex midrange and a sweet, rounded high end that fingerstyle players and acoustic singer-songwriters absolutely crave. Thanks to Eastman's hand-scalloped X-bracing, the top vibrates effortlessly, providing surprising headroom and a focused low end that won't get muddy or lost in a tracking session.

Playability is smooth and predictable across the entire fretboard, utilizing an ebony fingerboard over a very comfortable Traditional Even "C" neck profile. The 24.9-inch short scale length reduces string tension just enough to make complex chord voicings and string bends feel effortless, while the 1-3/4" nut width gives your fingers plenty of breathing room.
