This 2025 Taylor 517e Gold Label pairs the deeper-bodied Grand Pacific shape with a torrefied Sitka spruce top over solid mahogany back and sides, voiced with Taylor's fanned V-Class bracing. In Excellent Condition: this 517e shows two small finish blemishes on the top and back, with no other wear or issues to note. Torrefying the spruce drives out moisture and resin before the build, giving the top a broken-in voice from the first strum, and the extra 3/8" of body depth gives this Grand Pacific more low-end push than a standard-depth model without tipping into boom.

Mahogany back and sides lean the tone dry and woody compared to the harmonically complex sound of rosewood, giving the 517e a focused midrange that sits well behind a vocal or blends into an ensemble. Taylor's long-tenon Action Control Neck joint tightens the neck-to-body coupling for extra low-end resonance, and lets players adjust string height through the soundhole without pulling the neck. The 25½" scale and 1¾" nut give the neck a substantial, traditional feel for players coming from a vintage-style flattop.

Appointments include a Firestripe pickguard against the Sunburst top, cream binding, Crest inlays, and a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge with Indian rosewood pins, echoing the Gold Label Collection's vintage look.
