The Yamaha CG-TA is one of those guitars that surprises people the first time they play it. At its core, it is a solid spruce and ovangkol classical guitar with a traditional CG body shape, but the real draw is Yamaha’s TransAcoustic system built right into the instrument. Without plugging into an amp or adding pedals, you can blend in reverb and chorus effects directly from the guitar itself, which makes practicing and casual playing feel a lot more immersive.

Even unplugged, the guitar has a warm and balanced voice. The solid spruce top keeps the response clear and articulate, while the ovangkol back and sides add a bit of depth and richness without getting overly dark. It has the smooth, rounded tone you want from a nylon-string guitar, but the onboard TransAcoustic effects give it an added sense of space that makes even simple chords feel bigger and more atmospheric.
