Description
The Atkin Essential D is built for players who want a straight ahead dreadnought with real vintage attitude. The baked Sitka spruce top gives this guitar a dry, open response with plenty of headroom, while the mahogany back and sides keep the tone punchy and focused. It has that classic dreadnought power that fills a room easily but still stays clear and articulate.
With a full 25.4 inch scale length, the Essential D has a strong, authoritative feel under the right hand. The mahogany neck is comfortable and familiar, and the ebony fingerboard and bridge add clarity and definition to each note. Scalloped X bracing lets the top breathe, so the guitar responds quickly whether you are digging in with a flatpick or backing off for a lighter touch.
