Description
This Bourgeois 2026 Launch Downeast Hawaiian Blues Series LDB is a great example of how expressive an all koa guitar can be. The figured koa top, back, and sides give it a clear, immediate response with a strong midrange presence that really suits blues, roots, and fingerstyle playing. It has that dry, articulate character players love, but with enough depth to still feel full and musical.
The LDB body size keeps things comfortable and intimate without feeling small or boxy. The soft V mahogany neck sits naturally in the hand, making it easy to move up and down the fingerboard. Hand carved scalloped X bracing helps the guitar stay lively and responsive, so it reacts well to changes in attack whether played lightly or dug into a bit more.
