Description
Notice: This is a pre-owned item. While we do a basic cleaning and setup before shipping, we are unable to make any modifications to, or guarantees of condition, and or history, outside of what we have personally found, or been informed of by the original owner.
The Martin D-12E is a modern dreadnought built to deliver classic Martin tone with reliable stage-ready performance. In Near Mint Condition, our repair team noted a low saddle, so it has a low setup with normal relief. Featuring a spruce top paired with sapele back and sides, this guitar produces a balanced voice with a strong low end, clear mids, and crisp highs. The dreadnought body shape provides plenty of projection and headroom, making it a great fit for strumming, flatpicking, and singer-songwriter styles.
The tone leans toward clarity and warmth, with sapele offering a focused, woody character that keeps the sound controlled and articulate. Scalloped X-bracing allows the top to respond freely, giving the guitar a dynamic feel whether played lightly or with more attack. This makes it a dependable instrument both in solo settings and when playing alongside other musicians.
Built with modern playability in mind, the D-12E features a comfortable neck profile and a durable Richlite fingerboard and bridge. The onboard Fishman MX-T pickup system provides a clean, natural amplified tone with a convenient soundhole-mounted tuner, making it ready for live performance right out of the case. With its combination of classic design and modern functionality, the D-12E is a versatile, stage-ready acoustic-electric for players who want vintage-inspired tone with modern electronics.
