Description
This Custom Shop Size 2 is a 12-fret small-body guitar with a VTS Sitka spruce top and premium Guatemalan rosewood back and sides. The VTS top gives it a more played-in feel, the rosewood adds depth and sustain without overwhelming the smaller body, and scalloped 1/4 inch X-bracing keeps the top lively. It is a good fit for fingerstyle, light strumming and quiet playing where nuance matters, and it does not try to be a dreadnought, which is the point.
It has an aging toner top, a gloss body, a slotted headstock and rosewood binding for a refined vintage look. The 24.9 inch scale, 1 3/4 inch nut and 2 1/4 inch string spacing leave plenty of room for the right hand while keeping the guitar relaxed under the fingers, and the Modified V neck, modern pyramid bridge, relic-style engraved Golden Age tuners and black pins with paua carry the vintage-inspired build through. We would suggest it for a player who values touch and character over volume.
