The Martin D-35 stands as a unique and trusted standard in the acoustic world, famous for its signature three-piece back styling and a voice all its own. Built around a solid spruce top paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this legendary dreadnought delivers a bold, projective acoustic sound filled with strong bass, clear trebles, and rich overtones. Visually, it honors decades of heritage with antique white binding, a bound ebony fingerboard, and a timeless faux tortoise pickguard.
Where this guitar truly excels is in its exceptional balance and headroom. Unlike standard dreadnoughts, the D-35 utilizes lighter, non-scalloped 1/4-inch bracing that allows the top to flex and vibrate with maximum efficiency. Notes speak quickly, chords retain a massive sense of depth, and the overall dynamic range rewards a subtle touch just as easily as heavy flatpicking.
The select hardwood neck features a smooth satin finish carved to a GE Modified Low Oval profile with a high-performance taper. Complete with chrome enclosed gear tuners and a molded hardshell case.
