Description
The Santa Cruz D from the Founder Collection is a dreadnought with a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, with tapered voicing in the Sitka spruce bracing under the top. The body and neck are finished clear, with a buff finish on the body and a matte neck.
The neck is mahogany with a round profile, a 1-11/16 inch nut and a 25.375 inch scale. The ebony fingerboard has 2mm mother-of-pearl dots, and the body, fingerboard and peghead are bound in ivoroid, with a purfle combo rosette and top border.
An ebony bridge with mother-of-pearl dotted pins, a tortoise pickguard and Waverly nickel tuners with oval knobs complete it, and it comes strung with Santa Cruz mid-tension strings in a Santa Cruz case. We are carrying it as part of our Founder Collection order from Santa Cruz Guitar Company. It is for the flatpicker or strummer who wants a rosewood dreadnought with a narrower nut.
