Scalloped V-Class bracing with a relief rout removes more wood from the braces than the original V-Class pattern, and that extra carving is why this guitar pushes more low-end output and sustain out of the same tonewood pairing than the standard 414ce. Rosewood still supplies the scooped midrange and shimmering overtones; the new bracing is what lets the top move more freely underneath it.

Played acoustically, the difference shows up most on sustain — chords ring longer and single notes bloom instead of decaying quickly, which rewards fingerstyle playing and slower ballad work as much as it does hard strumming.
