Taylor GS Mini Sapele Acoustic #6107

The Taylor GS Mini Sapele takes Taylor's travel-scale body and pairs a solid torrefied Sitka spruce top with layered sapele back and sides. Like the rest of the GS Mini line, it runs X-Bracing instead of the V-Class bracing built into Taylor's full-size catalog — this is Taylor's travel platform, voiced on its own terms rather than as a scaled-down flagship.

Torrefied spruce brings a broken-in quality to the top before the guitar ever leaves the case — more overtone complexity and a touch more warmth than a fresh, untreated spruce top typically offers at this size. Sapele back and sides add a focused midrange similar to mahogany, with slightly more clarity on the top end. Strum it at a campfire, fingerpick it on a porch, or keep it as a second guitar in the practice room — it covers all three well. It doesn't replace a full-size dreadnought or grand auditorium on a gig; this is a travel and practice instrument first.

The build carries a matte-finished neo-tropical mahogany neck with a standard-carve profile, a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard and bridge with faux pearl 4mm dot inlays, and black hardware throughout, all riding on a 1-11/16" nut and 15" fingerboard radius. There's no onboard electronics on this model — it's a purely acoustic instrument — and it ships in a tan structured gig bag. For a player who wants a real spruce-top Taylor tone in a body that fits in an overhead bin, the GS Mini Sapele is the entry point into the line.
