The Guild F-512E pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with arched flamed maple back and sides on a jumbo body built for players who need a 12-string that fills a room without losing definition. Scalloped X-bracing under that spruce top gives it the projection and chime a 12-string demands, while the maple keeps the low end tight and the string separation clear even when you dig in.
It's bright, balanced, and powerful without turning harsh, holding up whether you're strumming full chords behind a singer-songwriter set or fingerpicking, where a 12-string can easily turn to mud if the separation isn't there. The mahogany neck with a walnut center strip stays stable under the extra string tension, and the 1 7/8" nut gives your fretting hand room to work without feeling cramped.
Appointments match the tone: mother-of-pearl and abalone V-block inlays, a gloss nitrocellulose finish, and an ebony fingerboard bound in white and black ABS. Onboard LR Baggs Anthem electronics put volume, mix, and phase control at your fingertips, so the F-512E moves from the couch to the stage without a separate DI or preamp. We set it up here before it ships, built for a player who wants one 12-string that covers both the studio and the set list.
