Bourgeois Guitars was founded in the early 1970s by master luthier Dana Bourgeois in Maine, USA. Starting his journey while at Bowdoin College, Bourgeois built his first guitars in his dorm room. By 1977, he had established his first shop in Brunswick, Maine. Dana Bourgeois' early Dreadnought guitars even caught the attention of bluegrass legend Tony Rice, who provided valuable feedback. Today, Bourgeois Guitars continues to hand-build exceptional instruments in Maine, carrying forward a legacy of craftsmanship and innovation.
