ABOUT THE PURE PICKUP

The Pure Pickup is our award-winning, signature pickup for acoustic guitars. Installed on the guitar's bridge plate, the Pure Pickup is the the best choice for achieving a rich, natural guitar sound -- even without a preamp!

Our customers tell us that it's the best passive pickup on the market, which means it's the perfect plug-and-play solution for the musician who wants a warm, full-range signal without worrying about cluttering up their instrument, adjusting onboard electronics, or having to remember to change the battery.

• Pure Mini: Direct installation with superglue gel is required for optimum performance but the system can be carefully removed without damage to your guitar (you may damage the pickup though). This pickup system will fit all standard steel string acoustic guitars.

The Pure Pickup's position on the bridge plate provides the perfect balance of sound, picking up all the strings without sounding harsh or percussive and "listening" to the sound board to amplify the unique characteristics of your guitar. The result is a warm, full-range signal that represents the true character of your guitar. For players who want more control over their signal, or need to achieve high gain before feedback, we recommend the Pure Preamp or Pure XLR Preamp.

The Vintage Jack is made by Tapastring and lets you enjoy the benefits of having a pickup installed in your instrument without having to worry about drilling out the endpin hole to the 1/2" (12mm) that a full size endpin jack requires.

The Vintage Jack replaces your existing tapered endpin to make your instrument pickup ready. Tapastring has incorporated a Switchcraft 1/8" female output jack into a precision machined end pin. Now you can install pickups in your instrument without having to drill out the end pin hole. Some instruments may require minor fitting work, but this can usually be done with a piece of rolled-up sand paper.

A Vintage Jack is available to fit most guitars equipped with standard taper fit end pins. The Vintage Jack is securely retained by the taper fit of the opposing parts without any adhesives.

Please note: A small 1/8" connector will not have the same reliability rating than our standard 1/4" endpin jack. This is because of the nature and size of the 1/8" connectors. Tapastring uses the best connector available on the market today but due the smaller parts inside a female 1/8" jack it will not provide you an equal trouble free live span like a 1/4" connector does. Even though the vintage jack is setup stereo, we officially offer the vintage jack for passive Pure pickups only. For dual source systems and active battery powered systems we strongly recommend using the standard 1/4" jack.
