Bourgeois SDS/DE Sitka/Walnut Down East Series Slope Should Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar #1336

Sale price$1,999.00

The Bourgeois SDS/DE has that classic slope shoulder dreadnought feel, but with a slightly different tonal personality thanks to the walnut back and sides. Paired with an Aged Tone Sitka top, it comes across as a guitar that is already opened up and ready to go. The look stays simple and traditional with ivoroid binding, a single ring rosette, and a clean natural gloss finish that lets the wood do the talking.

There is a nice balance to the sound that sets it apart. The Aged Tone Sitka gives it a quick, responsive attack, while the walnut keeps things tight and controlled without getting too dry. It sits somewhere between mahogany and rosewood, with a focused low end, clear mids, and just enough top-end presence to keep things lively. It works well for rhythm playing, but it also has enough clarity to handle lead lines without getting lost.

The feel is solid and comfortable. The soft V neck profile gives you a bit more to hold onto, and the 25.5 inch scale length keeps the strings feeling firm and responsive. A 1 23/32 inch nut width makes it easy to move around the fingerboard, while the ziricote fingerboard and bridge add a clean, articulate touch. This is a slope shoulder dreadnought that stays focused on tone and playability, offering a balanced voice with a slightly different flavor than the usual options.
