The 2026 NAMM Model Martin OMC-10E Modern Burst is the kind of guitar John Chapman would point out to a player who wants balance, comfort, and clarity without giving up presence. The OM cutaway body sits right in that sweet spot between a dreadnought and a 000, offering a focused, even response across all six strings with enough projection to hold its own in a room. The longer 25.4-inch scale keeps the feel familiar for flatpickers and strummers, while the cutaway opens up the upper register for players who like to explore beyond the first position.

The spruce and sapele pairing gives this guitar a voice that feels articulate but grounded. Spruce brings definition and headroom, while sapele adds a strong midrange character that keeps the sound centered and musical without becoming brittle. The scalloped X bracing helps the top respond quickly, making the guitar equally comfortable for light fingerstyle work or more aggressive strumming.
