This used 2023 Eastman MD805 is a strong, no-nonsense A-style mandolin that delivers the power and clarity players expect from Adirondack spruce and maple. The solid Adirondack top gives it plenty of headroom with a crisp, driving response, while the solid maple back and sides keep the tone focused and punchy. It has a clear chop that cuts well in a mix and a bright, articulate top end that feels right at home in bluegrass or old-time settings.

The maple neck has a comfortable, familiar feel and is paired with an ebony fingerboard that plays fast and clean up the neck. The 13 7/8 inch scale length keeps it responsive, and the adjustable compensated ebony bridge makes dialing in action and intonation straightforward. Gotoh tuners hold pitch well, and the gloss finish gives it a clean, classic look without getting in the way of playability.

This mandolin is in very good condition with some honest cosmetic wear. There is light finish dimpling on the back of the neck and some scratching on the top of the lower bout, all consistent with normal use and nothing that affects tone or playability.
